JAKE WINKLE WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP - 26th April 2014

A fabulous day was had by members attending the workshop. Jake proved himself an excellent tutor getting us to practice the proportions of paint to water and use his wet up to dry method on a test sheet before launching onto our picture paper. Two pictures were completed in the day, a structural Venetian scene and a loose Venetian mask.

TRELOAR’S SUMMER ART EXHIBITION (Holybourne)

Alton Art Society

16th July – 16th August – Mon-Fri. 10am-4pm

AAS have been invited to exhibit members' paintings in the reception area at Treloar’s during the above period, which is the school’s holiday period. The area is large with plenty of natural light. A refreshment area will be available.

Large sculptures by local artists will be displayed on the piazza during the period of this event Immediately after the AAS display, for a further 4 weeks, Tom Yendell is exhibiting paintings by the Mouth & Foot artists in conjunction with Hampshire Arts Open Studio week.

Treloar’s would like a large display of artworks in line with a vision of a ‘local Arts Event’ – Landscapes of localities in/near Alton would be of interest. However, subjects are unlimited in order to showcase the talents of our members. Framed work, folios and 3D artworks are acceptable for entry.

This is not a selling exhibition, (see entry form for full details).

Entry forms must be returned by 30 June 2012 to Ann Sayer - see entry form for details.
